Project story

Project Overview

This home office conversion was created for a working couple who needed a focused, professional environment within their apartment. The room had to support long workdays, video calls and shared storage while still feeling connected to the home's calm atmosphere. A light, tailored design keeps the compact room comfortable and visually clear.

Design Concept

The Scandinavian-inspired concept uses white, oak tones and disciplined detailing to reduce distraction. The visual language is intentionally quiet, allowing daylight, ergonomic furniture and a few carefully selected objects to define the room.

Client Requirements

The couple requested two comfortable work positions, organized technology storage, improved acoustics and a background suitable for video meetings. They wanted the room to feel professional during work hours but not corporate within the home.

Design details

Decisions that shaped the space.

The strongest interiors are built through coordinated planning, finish selection and practical problem-solving.

Challenges & Solutions

Accommodating two users without making the room feel crowded required precise sizing. A custom workstation organizes cables, equipment and drawers within one clean composition. Wall-mounted lighting and acoustic treatment improve comfort without occupying valuable floor space.

Materials & Finishes

Oak-finish surfaces, soft white cabinetry and matte hardware create a light base. Acoustic panels introduce texture and support better call quality, while task lighting is positioned to reduce glare during long working sessions.

Space Planning Approach

The workstation follows the longest usable wall, leaving a clear central aisle and easy access to storage. Floating shelves use vertical space for reference material, and the furniture layout allows both users to work without interrupting each other's movement.
